Acoustic Roots emerged in 2010 as a showcase for performing talent from Alvechurch and the surrounding area. Yes, we’ll be 5 in 2015!

Although its main focus has been acoustically orientated music in its many forms, we have always encouraged other live performance, including poetry and story-telling. Many folk, of all ages, have cut their performing teeth on the Alvechurch Social Club stage and hopefully will continue to do so - the well of local talent runs deep. We also regularly welcome guests from beyond the immediate vicinity.

This album showcases some of our favourite artists performing what is, with one exception, original or traditional material. You can find out more about the artists who’ve contributed on the Acoustic Roots website (address below). If you would like to hear more, come and see us at Alvechurch Acoustic Roots, usually the last Friday of the month.
